Their parents, Shatrughan Rajak, 40 and wife Rinki Devi, 35, from Ranchi, in Jharkhand, eastern India, and daughter Shilpi, 11, are completely normal.

Determined Shahana Begum, 42, from Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh, northern India, is famous among teenagers and women in her area as the ‘Bandookwali Chachi’ which translates as ‘aunt with a gun’. After she was widowed 17 years ago she feared for her safety amongst a male dominated area but decided to take extreme measures to protect the safety of herself, her daughters and other vulnerable girls.

Father Plans To Sell His Kidney To Fund Treatment For His Morbidly Obese Children

An impoverished father is worried about his three morbidly-obese children. Sisters Yogita Rameshbhai Nandwana, five, and Anisha, three, and their 18-month-old brother Harsh, are among the world’s heaviest children. Weighing 5st 5lbs (34kg), 7st 8lbs (48kg) and 2st 5lbs (15kg) respectively, the food they eat in a week is enough to feed two families in a month. Father Rameshbhai Nandwana, 34, of Gurjarat, India, said: ‘If my kids continue to grow at this rapid rate they will have major health issues. We’re terrified they will die.’

This 27-year-old inspirational woman had her leg amputated just four years ago after a motorbike accident but she has gone on to become a star in India with her remarkable dance moves on one leg. Subhreet Kaur Ghumman came runner up on India’s Got Talent in 2014 but not before she won over the nation with her impressive talents. She said: ‘The accident changed my life; it not only took my leg but it gave me the determination to fulfill my dreams. Now I’m dancing for a living and I love it.’
